This Racist Uses Her Intimacy With Her Boss
Kanokon Rattanapon is also known as Pao Rattanapon or Kanokon Pao Rattanapon. While teaching at an international college in Thailand, Kanokon wrote false complaints against several male non-Thai colleagues, and then posted racist rants on public message boards to smear those colleagues while the university investigated her false complaints. Immediately after appearing in a Thai court, Kanokon left Thailand to study in Hawaii.
When Kanokon Rattanapon (Defendant) filed testimony in Khon Kaen Provincial Court in Thailand she wrote of her special relationship with her Dean at Khon Kaen University. Translated from the original Thai:
“Plaintiff (a foreigner) had therefore tried to persecute the Defendant (Kanokon)…because of the privilege and intimacy in which the Defendant privately had with the Dean of KKUIC.”
Kanokon Rattanapon was sent to study at the University of Hawaii after the dean of Khon Kaen University International College aided her in racist attacks on foreign faulty. In Kanokon’s own words, she had problems working with foreign faculty. Dean La-orsri protects Kanokon from consequences for her racist actions against non-Thai male colleagues.
-Kanokon Rattanapon in a letter to her dean at Khon Kaen University in Thailand (written in English): “I am writing this letter to complaint on psychological harassment at workplace caused by my (foreign) coworkers toward me.” (Sic)
-Kanokon Rattanapon in another letter to the dean of Khon Kaen University International College (translated from Thai): I would like to complain regarding all three foreign professors.
-Kanokon Rattanapon trying to influence students via university group Facebook pages: “Your (foreign) colleagues who are not closed to you at all come to you and lash at you about an overseas trip that you joined. The way they communicate with you are full of emotional sarcasm, abusive words and gestures and attempts to defame your dignity.” (Sic)
-Kanokon Rattanapon in documents submitted in Thai to Khon Kaen Provincial Court (Thailand): “Plaintiff (foreigner) had therefore tried to persecute the Defendant (Kanokon Rattanapon) in the workplace… because of the privilege and intimacy in which the Defendant (Kanokon) privately had with the Dean of KKUIC.” Kanokon’s venomous accusation was targeted at a distinguished colleague she perceived as her inferior – a male of mixed race Native American descent.
Khon Kaen University and KKUIC are highly regarded institutions with good students, yet the privileged intimate relationship with Kanokon has been so important to Dean La-orsri Sanoamuang that she allowed it to cause turmoil and conflict among faculty and students. Immediately after Dean La-orsri and Kanokon Rattanapon testified in Khon Kaen Provincial Court, Kanokon left Thailand to attend the University of Hawaii on a scholarship.
Kanokon was sent to the University of Hawaii with a scholarship after using her intimate relationship to cause questions in the families of those she chose to attack online, to create divisions among colleagues, and to cause resignations of many male colleagues in Thailand. Dean La-orsri protected and helped send this racist troublemaker to Hawaii. เขาจะมาประเทศไทยหรือลองดูอยู่ที่อเมริกา How many more lives and families will Ms. Rattanapon wreck before she is held accountable for her actions?
